easy desserts 5 minutes

Keep these 5-minute desserts in your back pocket for those moments when your sweet tooth demands satisfaction. Whether you prefer something fruity, chocolaty or boozy, there's something in this mix for you. Enjoy recipes like our 2-Ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream when you need something refreshing, or serve up a batch of our Whipped Hot Chocolate when you want a cozy treat.

Pineapple Nice Cream

All-fruit, dairy-free and with no added sugar—these are the hallmarks of nice cream, a healthy alternative to ice cream. This pineapple nice cream has tropical flavors, thanks to a hit of mango and lime. It takes just minutes to make this naturally sweet frozen dessert in the food processor or a blender. Enjoy it alone, or top with fresh fruit and toasted coconut.

2-Ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream

Whir up frozen bananas into an "ice cream" without the cream! Peanut butter adds a natural swirl of flavor for a sweet and satisfying dessert with no added sugar.

Whipped Coffee Mochaccino

If you love the whipped coffee trend, you'll love this mochaccino version of the beverage. Use any milk you like, including any flavored nondairy milks, and stir it together before drinking to enhance the mocha taste of the drink. This version is lower in sugar than the standard whipped coffee, but feel free to add 1 extra tablespoon sugar if it's not sweet enough for you.

Whipped Hot Chocolate

Any kind of milk will work in this fun take on hot chocolate that's perfect for special occasions. For other flavor variations, try adding a drop of peppermint extract or a pinch of pumpkin spice or chili powder, depending on the season. You can even swap out half of the milk for coffee for a flavorful twist.

Frozen Chocolate-Coconut Milk with Strawberries

In this quick dessert recipe, fresh strawberries top nondairy chocolate "ice cream" for a cooling treat.

Whipped Shamrock Shake

Like the first sighting of a robin, a pale green minty Shamrock Shake is an annual reminder that spring is on its way. And when you make a homemade version of this fast-food favorite with real ice cream, milk and a refreshing hint of peppermint, you'll feel even more invigorated for the change of season. It's magically delicious that way!

Healthy Hot Cacao

If you're looking for a warm, chocolaty treat that's also nutritious, try this healthy hot chocolate made with cacao powder. In addition to being wholesome and delicious, this recipe is very easy to make—and whips up in less than 5 minutes!

Pumpkin Pie Nice Cream

Can't get enough pumpkin spice and pumpkin? Get those fall flavors you love in this dairy-free and vegan ice cream alternative made with bananas and pumpkin puree. This easy and healthy dessert contains no added sugar, unless you use the optional maple syrup—which is a delicious touch. Add some chopped pecans to make it really special.

Baileys & Chambord Spiked Hot Cocoa

Who doesn't love a good boozy hot chocolate? Here we amped up hot chocolate with Baileys Irish Cream and Chambord, which is a raspberry liqueur. While it's certainly delicious as is, garnish with whipped cream, marshmallows or another favorite topping to take this festive drink to the next level.

Strawberry-Mango Nice Cream

This creamy strawberry-mango nice cream is a delicious healthy ice cream alternative. It's all fruit, dairy-free, vegan and contains no added sugar. And this three-ingredient dessert is super-fast and easy to prep. Serve it as a snack or light dessert on the hottest days of the summer—or any time you want a refreshing treat.

Healthy Hot Chocolate

This healthier cup of hot chocolate uses low-fat milk, natural cocoa powder and just enough sugar to sweeten things up without going overboard on calories. As an added bonus, the milk provides a healthy serving of protein and calcium, which you won't get from sugar-loaded powdered hot-chocolate mixes prepared using water. Spice it up with an add-in like orange zest, cinnamon or vanilla for a delicious twist on this classic treat.

Red Wine Ice Cream Float

Step up your cocktail game with this unlikely combination that is not only completely delicious, but also gorgeous. Two of your favorites—red wine and ice cream—are combined to make a fun, fruity dessert cocktail.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

This healthy smoothie recipe has all the flavor of a pumpkin spice latte without all the sugar. Made with real pumpkin and frozen banana, this whips into a creamy, luscious grab-&-go breakfast (or dessert) in just 5 minutes.

Quick Strawberry "Cheesecake"

Get cheesecake flavor without having to bake with this healthy dessert recipe. To make it gluten-free, look for gluten-free graham crackers.

Divine Desserts That Prep in Just 5 Minutes — These 14 Recipes Are a Total Dream

Our clever shortcuts make it easier than ever to treat yourself

Share this:

Dark Chocolate Dreamy Fondue sits next to some fruit (5 minute desserts)

We love whipping up layered cakes filled with from-scratch frosting and baking up pies with homemade crust finished with a lattice top, but let’s face it — sometimes when you want a sweet treat, you want it now. What better way to satisfy your craving then with a recipe that takes minimal time and effort? Whether you prefer something decadently chocolate, refreshingly fruity or seasonally spiced, we at the First for Women test kitchen have conquered the near impossible by developing these indulgent treats that only take five minutes of work. Then you just let the fridge, oven or microwave do the rest! Keep reading for our best 5-minute desserts.

Our shortcut secrets for dessert in no time

When it comes to creating a sweet treat in just a few minutes, it’s okay to take shortcuts! Want to make cake pops? Instead of baking a cake from scratch, waiting for it to cool, then crumbling it into your mixture, use a loaf of pound cake from the bakery section of your supermarket. Want to make a brownie trifle ? Use a tub of pre-baked brownies instead of making ‘em yourself.

One of our favorite 5-minute desserts? Mug cake that “bakes” in the microwave. Not only does it save you from dirtying up a bunch of dishes, it’s individually portioned so you can make the just right amount. We’ve got tasty mug cake recipes below, but here’s a clever trick from our test kitchen: Whip up a box of brownie or cake mix, store the batter in the fridge covered, then simply scoop a dollop or two into a mug and microwave for a minute or two. You’ve got a super-fast treat whenever you want!

20 Quick and Easy Dessert Recipes

easy desserts 5 minutes

There are times when I'm happy to spend all day on an elaborate dessert, but sometimes I want something sweet in a hurry. Whether it's a sudden craving or the panicked realization that I have company coming over, I like to have a stash of easy but impressive recipes in my back pocket. We've rounded up 20 of our favorite quick desserts so that something sweet is never more than an hour away—think complex and chewy chocolate chip cookies in 45 minutes, or a bright and fluffy fruit mousse in just five.

Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies

Plain old sugar cookies have a tendency to be pushed aside in favor of fancier desserts, but we think their delicate flavor and chewy texture is incredibly comforting. This recipe is pretty simple—don't forget to add salt to balance out the sweetness. Our favorite way to finish the cookies is with vanilla sugar, which you can make by splitting a vanilla bean (Tahitian works best) and mixing the seeds with a few ounces of granulated sugar.

Get the recipe for Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies »

Quick and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Our ultimate chocolate chip cookie recipe is pretty phenomenal, but it requires you to rest the dough overnight. If you want cookies right away, though, this is the recipe for you. We improve the texture by using hand-chopped chocolate instead of commercial chocolate chips, and recommend a mix of dark, milk, and even white chocolate to give the cookies a more nuanced, interesting flavor.

Get the recipe for Quick and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies »

Cocoa Butter Cookies With Chocolate Chips

This unconventional twist on chocolate chip cookies harnesses the power of cocoa butter to deliver a rich texture and chocolaty aroma. We mix in chopped milk chocolate rather than dark so as to not overpower the cocoa butter; if you want to give them a little more of a kick, some bitter cocoa nibs will do the trick.

Get the recipe for Cocoa Butter Cookies With Chocolate Chips »

Malted Chocolate Chip-Pecan Cookies

Malted milk powder and barley malt syrup give these cookies a malty, butterscotch-tinged flavor. The malted milk powder also makes the dough thick but tender, letting it stand up to lots of mix-ins. We went with white chocolate and pecans, but feel free to experiment—milk chocolate and walnuts or dark chocolate and hazelnuts would be delicious, too.

Get the recipe for Malted Chocolate Chip-Pecan Cookies »

Hazelnut Cookies With Milk Chocolate

Store-bought hazelnut butter costs a lot and often has a lackluster flavor, so we grind our own from toasted hazelnuts. From there the recipe is like a peanut butter cookie—cream the hazelnut butter with unsalted butter, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and nutmeg, beat in an egg, incorporate the flour, and the dough is ready to go. A drizzle of tempered milk chocolate finishes the cookies beautifully, but if you're feeling lazy, you can just stir chopped chocolate into the dough.

Get the recipe for Hazelnut Cookies With Milk Chocolate »

Homemade Biscoff (Belgian Speculoos Cookies)

The ingredient list for Biscoff seems simple—flour, sugar, fat, brown sugar, baking soda, soy flour, and cinnamon—but try to replicate the cookies with American ingredients and you'll be disappointed. To nail the flavor, reach for Ceylon cinnamon (rather than cassia, which is what you see sold as cinnamon in American supermarkets) and Belgian brown candi sugar, which has a caramel flavor that is totally different than molasses-y American brown sugar.

Get the recipe for Homemade Biscoff (Belgian Speculoos Cookies) »

New-Fashioned Snickerdoodles

We like our snickerdoodles heavy on the cinnamon, but pour in too much of the ground stuff and you're in for some pain. A better idea is to cut the ground cinnamon with freshly grated, which has a more complex flavor and is less astringent. Our recipe uses two and three-quarter teaspoons ground to one and half teaspoons grated, but feel free to adjust the ratio to taste.

Get the recipe for New-Fashioned Snickerdoodles »

Dark Chocolate Easter Cookies

Still have Easter candy kicking around the house? These cookies will help you use up the last bunnies. Easter candy tends to be made with sweet milk chocolate; to balance it out, we make a bitter dough out of earthy Dutch process cocoa powder. A little baking soda in the dough increases its alkalinity and gives it an even darker flavor.

Get the recipe for Dark Chocolate Easter Cookies »

No-Bake Cookies With Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Chewy Oats

You don't even need to turn on the oven for this last cookie recipe—essentially just a peanut butter fudge, it comes together on the stovetop in just about 15 minutes. We like to make the cookies with a mix of instant oats (which dissolve into the fudge for a thicker texture) and old-fashioned oats (which give the cookies a hearty chewiness).

Get the recipe for No-Bake Cookies With Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Chewy Oats »

Whipped Dairy

Light and easy 5-minute fruit mousse.

Dessert doesn't get any quicker or easier than this—three ingredients, five minutes, and a blender are all you need to make this refreshing treat. Frozen fruit has lots of flavor year-round, and an egg white turns what would be a thick smoothie into a velvety mousse. The sugar is just for flavor, so you can leave it out or replace it with another sweetener like honey or maple syrup if you're so inclined.

Get the recipe for Light and Easy 5-Minute Fruit Mousse »

Cranachan (Scottish Whipped Cream With Whisky, Raspberries, and Toasted Oats)

Our take on this traditional Scottish dessert starts with oats that we soften in cream and toast until deeply brown. We whip that cream with a shot of Scotch, then layer it with the oats and crushed raspberries doctored with a bit of lemon juice. Rather than whipping the cream with a mixer, we use a food processor to make it thick and mousse-like.

Get the recipe for Cranachan (Scottish Whipped Cream With Whisky, Raspberries, and Toasted Oats) »

Creamy Whipped Greek Yogurt

For a super easy summertime dessert, try whipping up tangy Greek yogurt with caramel-scented golden syrup and heavy cream—the result makes for a killer fruit parfait. It's important that you use true Greek yogurt, which is low-moisture and will whip up much better than yogurt made with thickeners like gelatin or pectin.

Get the recipe for Creamy Whipped Greek Yogurt »

Cranberry Trifle

Trifle is a perfect choice for entertaining—it's a striking centerpiece but only takes 45 minute to make. This version layers fluffy angel food cake, bittersweet amaro, tart cranberry jam, and creamy whipped mascarpone. Think of the recipe as more of a blueprint, though—substitutions like marmalade instead of jam or ladyfingers instead of angel food cake are totally appropriate.

Get the recipe for Cranberry Trifle »

Other Desserts

Stovetop butterscotch pudding.

Making true butterscotch is a painstaking process that can take hours, but you're not out of luck if you get an urgent craving. A combination of toasted sugar and malted milk powder makes for a surprisingly good imitation, which we mix with white chocolate for an easy pudding.

Get the recipe for Stovetop Butterscotch Pudding »

Easy Stovetop Fruit Crisp

You can make an oven-baked fruit crisp in about an hour, but if you're really in a hurry, switching to the stovetop can cut the time in half. The recipe works because we cook the fruit and toast the streusel separately, combining them just when it's time to serve. This recipe calls for plums, but you can use whatever stone fruit looks best at the market—I'm particularly fond of peaches.

Sweet-Sour Macerated Cherries With Marcona Almonds, Mint, and Ricotta

Equally at home at breakfast or dessert, this not-too-sweet dish is made with cherries macerated in a mixture of honey, red wine vinegar, and black pepper. Serve the cherries on good ricotta and garnish with bright mint, crunchy Marcona almonds, and a sprinkling of flaky Maldon salt. The hardest part is finding high-quality ricotta—Calabro is the most reliable supermarket brand, but if you have a local dairy that makes it fresh that is absolutely the way to go.

Strawberry-Rhubarb Compote With Fennel

Strawberry and rhubarb are practically made for each other—strawberries are sweet but often a little bland and rhubarb is flavorful but punishingly tart. Mix them together (with a little extra sugar) and you get a balanced compote that, like our macerated cherries, can be eaten any time of day. Half a teaspoon of ground fennel pushes the recipe towards the savory side, so I would go a little heavier on the sugar if this is destined for ice cream rather than waffles.

Chocolate-Coated Caramel Honeycomb With Salted Peanuts

Making caramel can be intimidating for first-timers, but with a little practice it becomes quick and easy. Turning caramel into honeycomb is just a matter of mixing in baking soda, which fizzes up and aerates the candy. After the honeycomb is cooled, coat it with semisweet chocolate and salted peanuts, break it into shards, and eat.

Waffle Iron Churros

I love churros but wouldn't consider any recipe that requires deep-frying quick or easy. This recipe takes churros and makes them an anytime snack by replacing the fryer with a waffle iron. As an added bonus, the pockets made by the waffle iron catch the rich chocolate sauce that we serve alongside.

Microwave Rocky Road Sponge Cakes

Making a cake in less than an hour is a tall order—unless you harness the magic of the microwave. Some recipes for microwave cakes are made with a whipped cream dispenser, which is not a gadget every home cook has lying around and prevents you from adding any mix-ins to the batter. For our chunky rocky road cakes we go a different route, using a meringue and pulverized marshmallows for leavening.

15 Desserts Easy Enough for a Weeknight and Special Enough for a Celebration

Why reserve dessert for holiday menus and dinners out only? If you ask us, wildly busy weekdays are the ones that really deserve to be sweetened up. And when celebration-worthy events fall on a weekday, dessert is an absolute must. To save you an expensive trip to a bakery, we've gathered up easy dessert recipes you can whip up on a hectic weeknight but that still look and taste like a special treat. They're short on ingredients and prep time but are jam-packed with flavor from chocolate, fruit, nut butter, and more of your favorite cravings-busters. No matter how busy the rest of your day is, you can (and if you ask us, you should!) carve out time to treat yourself and your loved ones with these quick and easy desserts.

Toasted Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich

A twist on the concept of a scoop shop order of a waffle cone, this 5-minute dessert recipe is "super easy" and offers "endless combinations," confirms jot2swmfree who dreamed it up. "It has the hot-cold appeal of a la mode desserts," just minus all of the fuss of baking from scratch. Instead, these ice cream sandwiches start with a toasted waffle topped with a small pat of butter. Slice it in half, then scoop softened ice cream on one half. Drizzle with maple syrup for a nod to a breakfast shortstack, then top with half number two. Order up!

Cocoa Powder Chocolate Mousse

This light and airy mousse-like chocolate dessert looks elegant piped into individual glasses, as shown, and takes a mere 10 minutes to prepare. To make it look even more wow-worthy, you can garnish with a mound of whipped cream and shaved chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Easy Strawberry Shortcake

Often assembled atop a buttery biscuit or shortcake, this easy dessert recipe takes the berries and cream concept and gives it a weekday-friendly makeover. Simply trade in slices of store-bought sponge cake cups (or slices of purchased pound cake or angel food cake). Macerating the fruit for just 15 minutes gives them an extra hint of sweetness and creates a sweet syrup to drizzle over the cake and cream. Carrie C. says this easy strawberry dessert "goes together so quickly. I love serving this to my family."

Funfetti® Birthday Cookies

Start with a box of cake mix and end with a showstopping, colorful, and rainbow-hued dessert. While it's beautiful and festive enough for a birthday, this is one easy dessert recipe that can make any ol' Tuesday feel worthy of a celebration! Tear open that box of mix, and if you have eggs, oil, confectioner's sugar, sprinkles, and a baking sheet , you can have a warm batch of cookies ready to devour in just 21 minutes.

Apple Cinnamon Chimichangas

Fry oh my! Hit fast-forward on this apple-cinnamon recipe by opening a can of pie filling, warming it for 5 minutes, then stuffing it inside tortillas. Fry until crispy, which takes 2 minutes or less, and toss with cinnamon sugar. One home cook says, "I had saved this recipe a long time ago and why it took me so long to make it, I have no clue. These are absolutely amazing. Both the wife and I thought they tasted better than we imagined and after frying the flour tortillas they had kind of a pie dough flavor to them." (By the way, this weeknight dessert recipe would also be terrific with cherry pie filling, blueberry pie filling, strawberry pie filling, or peach pie filling.)

2-Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge

A pound of almond bark plus a jar of nut butter equals "the easiest fudge ever," according to knaselsbabygirl who kindly shares her secrets. "Every time I make it, I get so many compliments on how great it is. This is the easiest peanut butter fudge ever, and it is so good." After 10 minutes of prep, including the cook time in the microwave, this favorite fudge recipe is all set to chill out

Baked S'mores Dip

Who wouldn't want s'more of this 4-ingredient, ooey-gooey dessert dip? Luckily, you need not wait long for your next batch — it takes just 19 minutes. Simply mix a chocolate bar with a splash of milk, top with marshmallows, and bake or broil until they're toasty. Scoop all that goodness up with graham crackers to complete the no-campfire-required s'mores dessert.

Banana and Peanut Butter 4-Ingredient 'Ice Cream'

No dairy? No problem. This "nice" cream recipe starts with a frozen banana, which lends a custard-like texture once you blend it with milk, vanilla extract, and your favorite nut butter. (Add a spoonful of confectioners' sugar or honey if your sweet tooth is strong.) Danielle says the finished product, which takes only 10 minutes, is "creamy and made me forget any longings for real ice cream."

Dessert Nachos

"Oh I don't know what others thought but this was fun," says Allrecipes Allstar Melissa Goff . "My kids ate the entire plate. I toasted the sweetened coconut, chopped up dry roasted peanuts, added ⅓ cup more peanut butter, and my kids literally killed the plate. I actually tried it myself and even though I had extra chocolate and peanut butter sauce, I could have made a 2nd batch. We enjoyed this fun little experiment of a recipe. Will be a movie time treat for them." Reviewers emphasize that you should keep an eye on the broiler and not walk away.

Lemon Curd Tarts

For showers, tea parties, or a busy evening that could use a dose of springtime sweetness, assemble a tray of these ultra-easy tarts. Recipe creator Paula swears "the crust remains crunchy for several hours," so you can even prep them ahead in the morning and look forward to them as an after-school snack or dinner dessert. Making them is a cinch: Simply fill store-bought phyllo cups with a small scoop of lemon curd and frozen whipped topping, then garnish with a dusting of cinnamon. It's like a mini lemon meringue pie — in a far simpler format.

Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Rachael Ray taught us that 30-minute meals are a marvelous thing. But you know what's even better? Chef John's mug cake that cooks up in less than 1 minute! "What's not to love about warm chocolate cake spiked with chocolate, coconut, and chocolate chips and topped with melting vanilla bean ice cream? This literally takes less than a minute to cook up and a couple minutes to prepare," he says of this microwave dessert . For an extra dose of decadence, dust each serving with confectioner's sugar and cocoa, plus a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.

Cherry-Mascarpone Cheese Dessert

Five ingredients and 15 minutes are all you'll need to pull together this luscious treat. Allrecipes Allstar lutzflcat says, "This is such an elegant finish to a really nice meal. Some times simple is best, and that's one of the things that makes this dessert so special. Creamy, rich but somehow still light, mellow, smooth, slightly sweet, just fantastic! I'd serve to this to anybody without hesitation." Reviewers said they used fresh cherries, frozen cherries, and even cherry pie filling.

Nutella® Cups

Inspired by one of the most popular crepe filling combos, "these are so easy, delicious, and always a hit! I've made them quite a few times," Lauren says of this easy muffin tin treat. "I like to switch up the fruit: bananas, strawberries, cherries...all super tasty!" That's because any fruit pairs perfectly with a flaky crescent roll "crust" and rich Nutella filling.

Totally Groovy Chocolate Fondue

"Take a trip back to the '70s with this totally awesome chocolate fondue," says recipe creator SATDEL. "It is simply prepared in a fondue pot and served with your favorite fruits or snack foods — fresh sliced strawberries, bananas, Granny Smith apples, oranges, pineapple, and even pretzels."

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

You'll need only 15 minutes to whip up this bright and colorful dessert, thanks to store-bought angel food cake, cream cheese, whipped topping, fresh strawberries, and a jar of strawberry glaze. You can create individual servings, as shown, or layer it up invitingly in a glass bowl.

Perfect for get-togethers, potlucks, or just a midnight snack 🙂

A Stack of Magic Bars with Chocolate Chips, Coconut and Nuts

Easy Dessert Recipes & Ideas

So if you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen, try these easy desserts tonight.

From classic chocolate chip cookies to dreamy peanut butter cups, they’re ready in a flash.

1. Easy Dark Chocolate Billionaires

Making bite-sized candies is a lovely way to serve up something sweet without having to create extra dishes.

Served in mini-cupcake liners, they just need a nice plate or platter, and your guests can have as many as they like.

Combining melted caramels with Rice Krispies and pecans makes for a sweet and crunchy filling.

Finish it off with a little sea salt topping for a nice flavor contrast.

Homemade Caramel Corn in a Bowl

2. Easy Homemade Caramel Corn

You may have made caramel in the past and wondered how that thick sauce could cover popcorn without making a mess.

The trick to this easy recipe is to use baking soda toward the end of cooking.

The caramel will bubble up as it aerates, making it easier to mix through the popcorn.

Spread caramel popcorn on a lined cookie tray to cool & store it in an air-tight container in a cool place.

3. Quick and Easy Baklava Squares

If you’ve ever made Baklava, you know it can be messy and time-consuming.

There are fewer layers with this easy recipe, and you don’t need to worry about making sugar syrups.

Simply butter your pastry and fill it with a nut and honey mixture for all the same flavors with half of the work.

Homemade Chocolate Icebox Cookies

4. Icebox Cookies

Be sure to have this cookie dough in the freezer at all times – it’s ideal for those late-night cravings!

These icebox cookies are super easy, using pantry staples you surely have at home already.

Just bake the cookies you need, roll the rest o the dough, & freeze for up to three months.

When the mood strikes, pull your dough out, slice a few rounds, and bake in a cookie tray.

5. Reese’s Heavenly Peanut Butter Trifle Recipe

With layers of fruit, custard, sponge, and jelly, trifle might not come to mind when thinking of easy desserts.

Well, this recipe is still super impressive and delicious. It just uses a few nice little shortcuts.

Boxed brownies, instant pudding, and Cool Whip are used to cut your prep time down to just 20 minutes.

When the layers come together, your dessert will look like a fancy delight that took hours to make.

6. Cake Mix Cookie Bars

Using cake mix as a shortcut is my favorite little cheat, even when I’m not in a rush.

It contains everything you would need anyway and makes for super moist cookie bars .

They’re ideal for a mid-week snack, served warm after dinner with ice cream, or just when you need dessert in a pinch.

From start to finish, they take less than 30 minutes!

7. Pink Lemonade Popsicles

Calling for just 4 ingredients, you can make up a batch of these sweet and refreshing homemade popsicles any day.

Using a simple syrup will help cut through the sour notes from the raspberries, but you can cut that back a little if you like the tartness.

This easy dessert would be great with chunks of fresh raspberry dotted inside.

Bowl of Apple Crisp with Ice Cream and Caramel Syrup

8. Apple Brown Betty

This recipe is like apple crisp. The main difference is the lack of oats in the topping.

Once baked, it’s more like a spiced shortbread crumb.

It might seem a little involved, but it’s pretty straightforward.

The topping can be made with a pastry cutter or butter knife.

You need not worry about lumps. They will melt into the apples during the bake.

9. Easy Homemade Fudgesicles

I should want you that this is dangerous.

You’ll be making what is basically a pudding, though there are no tempering eggs to worry about!

Just mix everything in a pot and stir until thick.

The worst part is waiting for them to cool!

10. Lemon Icebox Cake

This super simple icebox cake is made up of layers of Loorna Doone cookies and lemon pudding.

The pudding is lightened up with Cool Whip, making it creamy and easier to spread.

After a few hours in the fridge, the cookies will just about start to soften, so that you can slice and serve.

11. Cookiedilla

This monster cookie is the dessert you make on a Friday night. It’s the end of the week, and you deserve a sweet treat!

Bake two large disks of store-bought dough (you can press it into a baking dish if you want it nicely round).

When it’s lovely and golden, top one half with marshmallow cream & chocolate sauce.

Press the discs to make a sandwich and be careful with the drips!

Lemon Drop Cookies with Lemon Glaze

12. Lemon Drop Cookies

These shortbread-style cookies are melt-in-your-mouth good.

It’s easy, too, simply beat the ingredients until well blended, careful not to overwork the batter.

If you like yours with a crunch, bake for 11 minutes until the edges start to turn brown.

For a shorter crumb, take out before the edges start to color – around nine minutes, depending on your oven.

13. Root Beer Float Cupcakes

The root beer flavor is unmistakable in this recipe.

With root beer extract and root beer in the cake batter and frosting, there’s no escaping it.

The soda will make the cupcakes light as air and wonderfully flavored.

Use the root beer as you would milk for the frosting. Add it a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

14. Simple Oatmeal Cookie Jam Bars

I make this recipe at least once a month. In fact, I’m eating a shortbread & raspberry jam bar with my coffee as I type!

The crumb mix is a combination of brown sugar, oats, and flour.

Press the base into a firm bottom, reserving the rest to sprinkle over the jam.

I love the flavor of blackberry jam here. It mixes so well with the caramel-flavored oat crust.

15. Easy Buckeye Recipe

Crazy easy and packed with flavor, these little bites are perfect sweet delights.

They’re sort of like mini-peanut butter dough balls, just made without the flour.

They’re also covered in dark chocolate, creating a sweet snack similar to Reese’s.

Sweet Frozen Lemon Yogurt

16. Disney Dole Whip Recipe

Disney did lockdown right by posting all those easy dessert recipes we all love! Did you try the grilled cheese??

Anyway, recreating this pineapple soft serve at home couldn’t be easier. You can make this any day.

Just blend vanilla ice cream with frozen pineapple and pineapple juice until smooth.

Yup, that’s it!

Just scoop and serve.

17. Cherry-Chocolate Pudgy Pie

Sometimes, dessert can be as simple as a grilled sandwich. Have you ever tried an Elvis Sandwich? It’s to die for!

This version of a sweet grilled sandwich uses canned fruit filling, chopped almonds, and chocolate chips.

This recipe uses cherry filling, but you could use your favorite. I think a blueberry filling would be amazing.

Sweet Microwave Peanut Brittle

18. Microwave Peanut Brittle

You read that right. Peanut brittle can be made in the microwave!

No need for any fancy equipment or candy thermometers here. Just make sure you have your oven mitts handy – the bowl gets very hot.

Microwave the sugar & corn syrup for 4 minutes before adding the peanuts. After 3 more minutes, stir in the baking soda.

When pouring, make sure you have your tray prepared beforehand and spread it thin.

19. Samoa Dessert Lasagna

Although this dessert is made up of four different layers, none of them are too complicated, and the whole thing comes together in around 25 minutes.

Start with a Nilla Wafer and coconut crust. Top with caramel, pudding, faux-cheesecake, and some extra caramel sauce.

You don’t even have to make the caramel! Buy pre-made in the store to save time.

Slices of Homemade Peanut Butter Tart Pie

20. No-Bake Peanut Butter Pie

When I’m craving pie, I almost always turn to my grandma’s Amish sugar cream pie .

But when I need an easy no bake dessert , this is the recipe to beat!

It has just six ingredients, one of which is a ready-made graham cracker crust.

Everything else gets blended together and poured into the crust before freezing for a few hours.

I think it would be extra decadent with vanilla ice cream.

21. Chocolate Dipped Oreos

We all have a box of Oreos in the pantry, plus some random chocolate tucked away.

These might be simple, but they’re super cute and will disappear within the day.

You could even make a sweet plate using golden Oreos and white chocolate chips.

Homemade Smores Oreo

22. Oreo S’mores In The Oven

Because S’mores aren’t just for the summer anymore!

If you have Oreos, marshmallows, chocolate, and five minutes, you’ll have a lightning-fast, easy dessert for the family.

Line a cookie tray and place a marshmallow on half of each Oreo. Broil until it starts to color, around 30 seconds.

Add the lid and enjoy!

23. Cake Balls

Ever since they exploded onto the scene, I’ve had a deep love of all things cake pops!

Soft and sweet, they are effortless and delicious.

These balls are just cake pops without the pop.

They’re more like little candy truffles made with crumbled cake and frosting.

Switch things up with any cake and frosting combination, and add different sprinkles for a fun treat for the family.

24. Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

I have a slight obsession with bananas and peanut butter.

So naturally, these frozen bites are a staple in my house.

An even easier version is to cut the fruit in half lengthways and dip in chocolate once frozen. After all, you won’t be just eating one or two.

25. Easy Hershey’s Chocolate Pie

This silky smooth pie is much like the recipe from number 20.

Instead of a graham cracker base, this one uses an Oreo crumb crust, which you can buy ready-made.

The filling is straightforward, mixing melted chocolate and whipped cream.

Top with extra whipped cream and enjoy.

26. 5-Ingredient Vegan Coconut Chocolate Bars

Coconut is truly the star of this easy dessert recipe.

With coconut flakes, oil, and cream, this base is fresh, smooth, and wonderfully flavored.

The layer of dark chocolate on top balances out the light coconut for a fabulous no-bake bar that is vegan and gluten-free.

27. Easy 3-Ingredient Coconut Macaroons

Though uncomplicated, these can be quite sticky, mixing coconut, vanilla, and condensed milk.

When you have the mix ready, try spooning it into these wafer papers . They are designed explicitly for sticky doughs and don’t taste like anything.

Homemade Apple Dumplings

28. Easy Apple Dumplings

Crescent rolls have to be one of the most versatile staples you can have in your pantry.

Used for pizza, rolls, dumplings, and more, they work for savory and sweet alike.

Just wrap some apple slices in the crescent rolls and cover them with brown sugar syrup.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream on top and enjoy.

29. 2-Ingredient Pineapple Coconut Sorbet

Ok, so if you choose to add the maple syrup, it’s technically a three-ingredient recipe for pineapple sorbet. But that’s still pretty impressive!

All you have to do is blitz the fruit, milk, and maple syrup until smooth and freeze for at least 3 hours.

30. Rolo Pretzel Turtles

With the holidays fast approaching, I’m on the lookout for fun little sweets to add to my edible gift boxes.

These are the perfect additions and so easy to recreate.

Just top some pretzels with Rolos and bake for a few minutes until they start to melt. Sandwich with a pecan and let cool.

The salty pretzel pairs well with the caramel and pecans. They’re a guaranteed hit with family and friends.

Homemade Peanut Butter Fudge Garnished with Flaky Sea Salt

Sprinkle the candy with a pinch of sea salt and let it cool completely before cutting!

32. Nutella Mug Cake

Mug cakes can be hit or miss, but the trick is to be careful when cooking. Microwaves are different, so 30 seconds in mine might be too much in yours.

I like to cook mine for 30 seconds and check on them. Then do 10-second intervals until it’s ready.

Top with an extra dollop of Nutella and maybe some whipped cream if you have it.

33. Raspberry Almond Blondies

Adding almonds to blondies transforms them into an immaculate delight.

Blondies are dense and chewy, so adding some almond paste to the batter will give them a nice textural balance.

The end result? A soft yet firm blondie with an extra layer of nutty goodness.

34. Key Lime Pie Mousse

You’re in for a treat with this three-ingredient wonder – the key lime pie mousse.

Just whip up some sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and heavy cream, and voila!

Okay, technically it’s 6 ingredients if you count the graham cracker crumble. But it’s not a real key lime pie without it, is it?

Pro-tip: add a drop of green food coloring for a nice color.

35. Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Take your sweet game to the next level with these chocolate covered strawberries.

They’re perfect for topping your strawberry desserts or for indulging in a simple yet elegant delight.

36. Jam Thumbprint Cookies

These thumbprint cookies are easy to make, delicious, and so pretty. Cuteness overload!

They’re perfect for whether you’re looking for an edible gift or something sweet for a cozy night in.

The best part is you get to fill them with your favorite jam. I love using strawberry jam as its sweetness complements the cookie. What’s yours?

Strawberry Banana Granola Parafait

37. Strawberry Banana Granola Parfaits

Yogurt parfait is one of the greatest culinary inventions in history.

It’s like a party in a jar, with layers of creamy Greek yogurt, crunchy granola, sweet bananas, and fresh strawberries.

38. Easy Fresh Strawberry Mousse

You’ll be whisked away to paradise with this heavenly strawberry mousse!

Made with just 3 ingredients – heavy cream, sugar, and strawberries – this mousse is what dessert dreams are made of.

It’s incredibly easy to make and also bursting with fruity flavor and a dreamy, velvety consistency.

It’s the best sweet to impress your friends at your next dinner party, or to treat yourself on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Sweet Homemade Cherry Cheesecake

39. Philadelphia No Bake Cheesecake

Get ready to be blown away by the easiest, most delicious no-bake cheesecake you’ve ever made!

With just five simple ingredients – cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream – this cheesecake is a breeze to make.

More importantly, it’s ridiculously delicious.

The cream cheese filling is wonderfully balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The graham cracker crust adds the perfect crunch.

40.  Almond Bark Drop Cookies

Say hello to these almond bark drops – a no-bake goodie that’s bound to rock your world.

They’re sweet little clusters made with peanuts, Rice Krispies, and marshmallows all covered in a smooth layer of white chocolate.

Irresistible is an understatement.

41. Peach Dump Cake

A dump cake is the ultimate lazy dessert – just dump, bake, and enjoy!

For this peach dump cake, you’ll only need a can of peaches, a box of yellow cake mix, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

A few minutes later, you’ll have a dessert that’s as easy as it is delicious.

Oreo Cookie Balls in a White Plate

42. Oreo Cookie Balls

These truffle-like sweets are made with a blend of crushed Oreos and cream cheese, covered in rich white chocolate for the ultimate indulgence.

Pop them in your mouth and savor the combination of Oreos and cheesecake!

43. Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

If you’re a fan of cookies (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), then you’re going to love this twist – the iron skillet cookie .

It’s achieved by cooking the cookie in a cast iron skillet. That way, you’ll get one giant pizza cookie that’s extra crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Grab a fork and dig in!

44. Bananas Foster

Bananas foster is a New Orleans classic made of ripe bananas cooked in sweet rum sauce.

The whole thing is set aflame (yes, really!) and served up hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

The next time you’re craving something sweet and spectacular, give this one a try.

45. Disney Churro Bites

No need to wait in line at Disneyland! With a few ingredients and some kitchen magic, you can make your own crispy churros at home.

Just pipe the batter, fry them up, and coat them with cinnamon sugar, and voila! You’re the churro master now.

With a golden cake base, caramelized pineapples, and cherries on top, you’ll flip over this sweet pineapple upside-down cake .

It’s a classic crowd-pleaser, plus, it’s so easy to make. Just pop it in the oven and let the magic happen!

Homemade Cake with Pecan Nuts

48. Do-Nothing Poke Cake

This poke cake is a pineapple cake made easy.

Just make a basic pineapple cake and poke it with holes.

Then, pour milk into the holes. This will allow the dessert to absorb the mixture and make it extra moist and flavorful.

The result is a deliciously decadent dessert that’ll transport you to a tropical paradise.

49. Rice Krispie Treats

Who doesn’t love a good Rice Krispie treat? It’s like a crunchy, sweet hug in every bite!

Just mix gooey, melted marshmallows with crispy cereal and you’ve got yourself a childhood classic.

The best part is you can get creative with all sorts of mix-ins like candy or dried fruit.

Go ahead, indulge in a delicious trip down memory lane with this recipe for Rice Krispie treats.

50. Oreo Cheesecake Bites

Oreo cheesecake bites are essentially cheesecakes in cupcake form, with a whole Oreo cookie serving as the crust.

The creamy cheesecake filling is perfectly balanced by the crunchy goodness of the Oreo crust.

They’re just the right size for satisfying your craving without overindulging.
